PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate a load as a storage device conducts a copying action and prevent a performance deterioration of the storage device as a whole. SOLUTION: When there occurs a write request to a copy source Src and a copy destination Dest after logic copying from the Src to the Dest has been completed, the storage device records updated portions of data. When a recopying request is made from a host device, the storage device copies the recorded updated portions only, from the Src to Dest, clears the records of the previously updated portions, and starts the recording anew.
