PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic-inorganic hybrid material having charge-transfer function and excellent abrasion resistance and mechanical and useful as an electrophotographic receptor, a raw material for the hybrid material, an electrophotographic receptor produced by using the hybrid material, having excellent scratch resistance and abrasion resistance and capable of forming a high-quality image over a long period, a process cartridge produced by using the receptor, an image forming device containing the process cartridge, and an image forming method. SOLUTION: The organic-inorganic hybrid material is produced by synthesizing a polymer for the hybrid material containing a metal alkoxide group bonded to an organic component of a polymer composed of a polycarbonate constitution unit having charge transfer function and subjecting the hybrid material having the metal alkoxide group to hydrolysis and polycondensation.
