PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a theophylline sustained-release microparticle with good reproducibility without including a pulverizing step of a stock medicine. SOLUTION: The method for producing the theophylline sustained-release microparticle comprises a step of carrying out wet coating subsequent to dry coating on the theophylline stock medicine without including a step of pulverizing the theophylline stock medicine.
