PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of acquiring observation images which are clear over a wide range and are precise by superposing red light, green light, and blue light widely over an observation range. SOLUTION: The endoscope has an endoscope insertion portion 2, phosphors 9a, 9b, 9c provided on the endoscope insertion portion 2, an objective lens 11, and a laser light source for irradiating the phosphors 9a, 9b, 9c with laser beams through a light guide 24 and enables an observation of a subject by irradiating the subject with red light, green light, and blue light emitted from the phosphors 9a, 9b, 9c while using the laser beams emitted by the laser light source as excitation light. Central optical axes 9a<SB>T</SB>, 9b<SB>T</SB>, 9c<SB>T</SB>of luminous fluxes 9a<SB>L</SB>, 9b<SB>L</SB>, 9c<SB>L</SB>of the red light, green light, and blue light emitted from an output surface 2a are slanted to the side of the objective lens 11 for the output surface 2a.
