EXTRACTANT SOLUTION FOR RESIDUAL VETERINARY AGENT IN LIVESTOCK PRODUCT OR SEAFOOD

Disclosed is an extractant solution for use in the extraction of a residual veterinary agent in a livestock product or seafood. The extractant solution contains 0.05 to 1% of metaphosphoric acid and comprises a buffer solution of pH 5.5 to 7.5. The extractant solution can extract a plurality of veterinary agents at one time, and can be used preferably used for the extraction when the residual veterinary agent is an antibacterial substance. By using the extractant solution, it becomes possible to extract a plurality of veterinary agents efficiently at one time without impairment of stability because of its neutral pH range. Hence, the extractant solution enables to determine a residual veterinary agent in a livestock product or seafood rapidly in a simple manner.
