<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a printing program which maintain the confidentiality of a printing job and improve convenience. <P>SOLUTION: A host machine 1, when registering a printing job in an image forming apparatus 3 via a network 2, sets the number of outputs (the number of sheets to be printed), a user (password) and a master password to allow printing. The image forming apparatus 3 prints the printing job stored in a storage section 32, when the password is input from a control section 31. The image forming apparatus 3 eliminates the used password (or protects) after printing to restrict output. Afterward, a registrant inputs the master password from the control section 31 (or the host machine 1) of the image forming apparatus 3 to obtain the printing job X as a printed matter, to enable a new number of outputs and user (password setting) to be set with respect to the printing job X. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
