<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which accumulates image data, performs a low power processing other than periodically performing an output, and also, can set a specified period for continuing the low power process without performing the periodical output, and thus, reduces consumption power. <P>SOLUTION: A communication section 150 receives setting data for the interval of the periodical output and a sleep mode period. A CPU 180 stores the setting data in a RAM 133. The communication section 150 receives a job including image data. The CPU 180 stores the job data in an HD 131. The CPU 180 acquires a present time from a clock section 170. The CPU 180 judges whether the present time is an output timing or not. The CPU 180 judges whether the present time is the sleep mode period or not.
