<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator of a fuel cell allowing the thickness of the separator itself to be reduced, and thereby capable of increasing output density of the fuel cell by reducing a cell pitch while securing strength reliability of the separator. <P>SOLUTION: The thickness of each inner web surface 12 part between ribs 14 formed on this separator 11 is formed thinner than that of each outer web surface.
