PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily accomplish a slide show, using a file whose format is similar to motion pictures, using still pictures and accessory information thereof. SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus, as a recording apparatus, formulates a Clip Information file of a Group of Picture files of a Clip made up by plural still pictures, and a Play List indicating the replay path of a slide show, and records the information on a DVD along with the Group of Picture files. The Play list has identification information, replay start time and replay time of still pictures constituting the slide show, and the Clip Information file has ID, data size and the number of pixels in vertical and horizontal directions of each of the still pictures in the Group of Picture file.
