PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regulated DC power unit that is excellent in load change characteristics while enabling the use of a ceramic capacitor as an output capacitor. SOLUTION: The regulated DC power unit comprises an output transistor Q1 for outputting a voltage to an output terminal 21, a reference voltage generation circuit 12 for outputting a predetermined reference voltage Vref, a regulation control circuit 11 and 13 for controlling the output transistor Q1 such that a voltage divided from the output voltage Vo of the output transistor Q1 is equal to the reference voltage Vref, and a current detection circuit 14 for detecting the magnitude of an output current Io of the regulated DC power unit 1. The reference voltage generation circuit 12 holds the reference voltage Vref at a first reference voltage if the detected output current Io is lower than a predetermined threshold current, but changes the reference voltage Vref to a voltage higher than the first reference voltage if the detected output current Io is larger than the predetermined threshold current.
