PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform correction processing of a character recognition result of a form image. SOLUTION: In this form processor, a characteristic quantity of inputted form image data is extracted, format data for form format identification are generated on the basis of the extracted characteristic quantity of a form, character recognition is performed to a character image area in the format data, correction of a recognition error is performed to a character string of the character recognition result obtained by a character recognition means, and a field of each the character image area is determined and learned on the basis of a correction result. The proper character recognition correction processing is performed on the basis of the field of each the character image area obtained with the character recognition result of the character image area obtained from the newly inputted form image as a learning result thereof.
