PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden on the part of a positioning server caused by simultaneously arising Ephemeris acquisition requests, as to a GPS positioning system of a network-assisted type wherein a multitude of GPS positioning terminals are connected to a positioning server via a mobile communication network such as a mobile phone network, and GPS positioning is performed even if a GPS reception environment is poor through the return of an Ephemeris to the positioning terminals performed by the positioning server in response to an Ephemeris acquisition request. SOLUTION: Long time use of the respective GPS positioning terminals 1 from the turning-on of power causes Ephemeris updating times come to coincide with each other for terminals existing on a substantially same area. Meanwhile, a terminal control part 11 of each GPS positioning terminal 1 disperses the times of the arising Ephemeris acquisition requests from each GPS positioning device 12 to each radio communication part 13 by delaying them by a delay time set at random for each terminal.
