PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based manicure preparation that has a color tone derived from two or more kinds of interference colors, observable even in a fixed observation angle and a beautiful, attractive pearl feeling in application to nails, is readily applied and gentle to nails. SOLUTION: The water-based manicure preparation comprises (A) pearl pigment obtained by coating a flaky base with a plurality of layers of two or more kinds of light transmission materials having different refractive indexes and (B) a water-based polymer emulsion.
