PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioning system for an elevator, in which top clearance can be easily secured, and a work space above a car can be set with a large degree of freedom. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a compressor 252 to generate compressed air, a heat exchanger 253 to cool compressed air, an expander 254 to expand compressed air cooled by the heat exchanger 253, a blower to blow compressed air expanded by the expander 254, and a blowing duct 26 to guide the expanded compressed air blown by the blower into a cage 1b. The blower is provided on an opening part on the side of the cage 1b of the blowing duct 26. Since the blower is thus provided on the opening part on the side of the cage 1b of the blowing duct 26, volume can be reduced, and weight can be decreased on the side of an air conditioner main body 25. Top clearance can be easily secured, and a large degree of freedom is provided for an installation place for the air conditioner main body 25 so as to set space of favorable work efficiency above the car.
