PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network monitoring device for flexibly performing event processing. SOLUTION: As shown by a figure 3, this network monitoring device 60 is provided with: a receiving part 601 for receiving a trap transmitted from a management object; a reception variable storing part 602 for storing variable values included in each of the fields of the received trap; a condition deciding part 606 for comparing a reception event processing table including a plurality of predetermined condition formulas with the variable values, and for deciding whether or not any condition formula establishing a relation decided by condition formulas with the variable values exists; an identifying part 607 for, when condition formula exists, identifying whether or not any management object matched with the variable value corresponding to the identification type of the management object defined in the reception event processing table so as to be made to correspond to condition formula exists; a failure processing part 608 for performing failure processing when the management object exists; and an action processing part 609 for performing action processing.
