A support (10) for a seat (100) includes a pair of side margins (12, 14) and transverse wires (20) extending between the side margins (12, 14). There are different sets of transverse wires (22, 24) that each has a respective convolution pattern (32, 34). The convolution patterns (32, 24) are arranged to create an expanded traversing region (30) between adjacent transverse wires (20) and may also create an alignment section (46) along the transverse wires (20).
