The device has a recording unit (14) for storing recorded expiration of cooking process as recallable cooking program in a memory unit (12). A control and regulating unit (18) automatically heats the cooking equipment (10) in accordance with the recallable program. The control and regulating unit modifies a preheating phase of the stored program depending on the equipment output temperature detected by a sensor unit (20). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a heatable cooked equipment.
