<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image evaluation device and an image forming method capable of quantitatively evaluating the void volume, that is, wormhole volume of color agent to be generated in the image of a character or thin line including a secondary color by automatically extracting an image pattern without being affected by the influence of color deviation. <P>SOLUTION: An image to be measured is read as color image data, and the image data are classified into at least two clusters for every pixel, and at least one or more clusters are selected from the classified clusters, and image data belonging to the cluster are binarized, and an image evaluation value is calculated by calculating image featured values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
