PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dummy canisters capable of efficiently cooling canisters.

SOLUTION: Canisters 2A and dummy canisters 2B are mounted in the memory part 1C of a storage device 1 in an intermingled manner. Each of the dummy canisters 2B is configured to be capable of telescoping in two steps in the direction in which it is mounted (also the direction of circulation of cooling air). Of the dummy canisters 2B, the dummy canister 2B (1) adjacent to the canisters 2A is set to assume a first shape that is shorter in length. The other dummy canisters 2B(2)-2B(5) are set to assume a second shape that is longer in length. In this way, the amount of cooling air flowing around the dummy canister 2B(1) adjacent to the canister 2A(3) increases relatively and the canister 2A(3) can be supplied with a larger amount of cooling air.
