<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protecting structure capable of protecting a pipe joint for branching a pipe such as a gas pipe buried in the ground to properly prevent the intrusion of water or the like with a simple structure, and being easily laid, and to provide its laying method. <P>SOLUTION: This protecting structure 20 of the pipe joint for branching 10 to branch and connect a second pipe 2 with a first pipe 1, comprises a main body member 21 composed of a first cylindrical portion 22 externally surrounding the first pipe 1, and a second cylindrical portion 23 branched from the first cylindrical portion 22 and externally surrounding the second pipe 2, and a circular cover member 24 mounted on opening end portions 22a, 22b, 23a opened at both ends of the first cylindrical portion 22 and an end portion of the second cylindrical portion 23 for covering an open portion from the opening end portions 22a, 22b, 23a to outer surfaces of the pipes 1, 2, and an inner diameter D of the first cylindrical portion 22 is determined to be more than a length H of the pipe joint for branching 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
