PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera for realizing reproduction of frozen moving picture data photographed at a longitudinal photographing attitude at reduced processing cost. SOLUTION: The digital camera is provided with: an imaging unit; an attitude discrimination unit; an imaging control unit; a rotation conversion unit; and an image processing unit. The imaging unit images an object image. The attitude discrimination unit discriminates the photographing attitude of a longitudinal/lateral position. The imaging control unit controls the imaging unit to obtain a still picture. The rotation conversion unit applies rotation conversion to the still picture in matching with the photographing attitude. The image processing unit stores the still picture after the rotation conversion to a moving picture frame thereby creating the frozen moving picture data obtained by reproducing the still picture after the rotation conversion for a prescribed period.
