PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector such as a chain having improved user-friendliness for reliably holding an opening/closing cylinder body slidably fitted to one opening end of a connector body at a closing or opening position with the repulsive force (spring force) of a coil spring and allowing easy operation of the opening/closing cylinder body with a single hand. SOLUTION: The connector comprises the body 1 having an opening portion 2 formed by curving a wire material at two positions into a U-shape with both ends opposed to each other, the opening/closing cylinder body 3 slidably fitted to one opening end of the body 1, a fixing bar 4 provided in the opening/closing cylinder body 3 near its front end, the coil spring 10 mounted in the opening/closing cylinder body 3 for energizing the opening/closing cylinder body 3 in the closing direction, a guide groove 7 provided ranging from the base of the opening/closing cylinder body 3 to the axial direction, a lock groove 8 provided sideways ranging from the guide groove 7, and a locking pin 9 provided in the guide groove 7 protruding from the body 1.
