The device has an engine mounting (2) connected with a chassis of a vehicle and with a drive group. The mounting (2) is equipped with a mounting unit (3) for a shock absorber and is formed as a single piece, where the unit is arranged at a height of an upper wall of the mounting. Two lateral sides of the mounting are overlapped by the upper wall of the mounting, when the mounting is inserted in an engine compartment of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle with a device for fixing a drive group at a chassis.
