PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of dampening or reducing noise, associated with rain, in an audio signal to improve the articulation of the audio signal for a communication device used in an automobile etc. SOLUTION: A voice enhancement logic (100) improves the perceptual quality of a processed signal. The voice enhancement system includes a noise detector (102) and a noise attenuator (104). The noise detector detects and models the noise associated with rain.
