PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact assembly of a circuit breaker, capable of maintaining a separated position when a movable contact is separated from a stationary contact by electromagnetic repulsive force, while maintaining a fixed contact pressure applied by a spring between the contacts. SOLUTION: This contact assembly of the circuit breaker includes a movable contact 120 equipped with a groove surface 124 having the first radius of curvature and a curved surface 123 having the second radius of curvature larger than the first radius of curvature, and a stationary pin 150 fixed to a rotary shaft 130 to support one end part of a spring 170 is connected to a limit pin 160 brought into contact with the movable contact to support the other end part of the spring by a ring plate 161.
