PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine realizing stop control to operate the internal combustion engine only for a predetermined period after an ignition switch is turned off without adding a circuit to inside of an ECU. SOLUTION: In this control device, a coil 134 driving a contact 132 of an ignition/injection relay 130 is connected with a connection line of a main relay 120 and the ECU 80. After the ignition switch 110 is turned off, the ECU 80 drives an ignition device 30 and an injection device 40 only for a predetermined period. Then, the ECU 80 turns off the main relay 120 to perform self-shut down, and the ignition/injection relay 130 is turned off in conjunction with the off operation of the main relay 120.
