PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular diagnostic system facilitating analysis of fault caused by failure in engine start. SOLUTION: An engine start abnormality detection part 10 detects engine start abnormality based on a fact that an engine speed MRNE is lower than a predetermined engine speed for a predetermined period, and outputs the detection result to a freeze frame data storage part 20. Input information from sensors 30, 40, a timer 14, and a counter 16 is arranged according to a time series and stored in a nonvolatile memory 28 as a data group, and is updated as needed every predetermined unit time. On receiving a determination result signal indicating the abnormality of the engine start, a CPU 24 stops writing in the nonvolatile memory 28 after updating the data group twice. Therefore, the freeze frame data stored in the nonvolatile memory 28 includes data indicating a status of use of a vehicle before and after the detection of the abnormality of the engine start.
