PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bank which has an internal wall body positively and rigidly embedded therein, and facilitates construction thereof. SOLUTION: The bank 1 has the wall body 3 erected and embedded therein. The wall body 3 extends from an almost upper portion of the bank 1 downward until reaching a location below a slope toe 1b of the bank 1, and has a height L1 from the almost upper portion of the bank 1, for instance. It is preferred that the wall body 3 of the bank 1 reaches a location below a river bed W1 of a river W, as shown in the figure, and extends downward through a length L2 from the river bed W1 of the river W, for instance. By virtue of this structure, part of the wall body 3 is embedded in the ground, and therefore the wall body 3 in the bank 1 is rigidly supported by the ground in an area around the bank 3.
