PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sprout-protecting container in which a transparent PET bottle-like container is applied. SOLUTION: The new sprout-protecting container for protecting a new sprout of vegetable is constituted as follows. A bent hole 2 is provided in the upper part of a transparent PET bottle-like container 1 and a plurality of vent holes 3 are provided in the whole circumference of the side of the container 1. Chevron-shaped inserting part 4 is provided in the whole circumference of the side of the container 1 in the lower part of the container 1. The transparent container 1 is used in order to promote temperature-retaining effect and growth by sufficiently feeding solar light to the new sprout. The vent hole 2 is provided in order to spray water to the new sprout. The vent holes 2 and 3 are provided so as to assist respiration of the new sprout and so as not to make thermal insulation excessive. The vent hole 3 is provided at a position which is upper than the position of the half of height of the container 1 exposed on a seedling bed in order to protect the new sprout from insect pests.
