<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a ferrite permanent magnet with a high coercive force (HcJ) approximately without reducing a magnetic characteristic potential. <P>SOLUTION: A ferrite permanent magnet that is mainly composed of Wurzite M-type ferrite and contains F: 10 to 400 ppm. It is preferable that the Wurzite M-type ferrite includes a composition represented by a formula (I): A<SB>1-x</SB>R<SB>x</SB>(Fe<SB>12-y</SB>Me<SB>y</SB>)<SB>z</SB>O<SB>19</SB>. In such a case, however, A is at least one kind of element selected from Sr, Ba, Ca and Pb and surely contains Sr, R is at least one kind of element selected from rare earth elements (including Y) and Bi and surely contains La, and Me is Co or Co and Zn. Furthermore, the conditions of 0.04≤x≤0.9, 0.04≤y≤1.0, 0.4≤x/y≤5.0 and 0.7≤z≤1.2 are established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
