<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical reproducing apparatus capable of shielding reflected light from the adjacent recording layer when data of a multilayer recording medium are reproduced and which is easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: An optical head (optical reproducing apparatus) 1 irradiates the multilayer recording medium D having a plurality of recording layers d, d... with light to reproduce data of the multilayer recording medium D and has a light source 2 which emits light, an objective lens (condensing means) 5 which condenses the light emitted from the light source 2 in the recording layer d, a hologram element (diffraction means) 6 which is arranged on an optical path of light reflected on the recording layer d in which the light is condensed by the objective lens 5, diffracts the light to emit it in the predetermined direction with respect to the incident direction and a light detector (light detection means) 7 which is arranged on an optical path of the light emitted in the predetermined direction from the hologram element 6 and detects the light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
