<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and simplified parking brake system which can suitably cope with a small drum or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The parking brake system 1 includes a pressing mechanism 3 which presses a pair of brake shoes 10 against drums 12b so as to realize a braking state at the time of parking, and a retaining mechanism 2 which retains the braking state via the pressing mechanism 3. The pressing mechanism 3 has a pair of pistons 31 provided between the pair of brake shoes 10 to press the pair of brake shoes 10 against the drums by hydraulic pressure. The retaining mechanism 2 is provided with a wedge 20 which is inserted through the pair of pistons 31 so as to mechanically restrict movement of the pair of pistons 31 in a non-braking state direction, and an insertion means 4 which inserts the wedge 20 between the pair of pistons 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
