<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of satisfying comfortableness with respect to a plurality of users in a room. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 is provided with horizontal louvers 113a and 113b with both longitudinal ends rotatably supported to vary a wind direction of a blowout opening 5 by rotation, and air taken in from the room and air-conditioned is sent into the room from the blowout opening 5. A drive motor 75 is provided for rotating both ends of the horizontal louvers 113a and 113b, and both ends of the horizontal louvers 113a and 113b are arranged in different rotating positions, and they are comprised of twistable members which can be twisted.
