ROUGHENING METHOD, CUTTING TOOL AND CYLINDRICAL MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a shape of a ruptured surface formed by removing a protruded part of a screw shape part on a surface of a cylindrical member roughened by cutting it in a screw shape.

SOLUTION: A cylinder bore part 3 is roughened by rotating and moving a cutting tool 7 so as to move the cutting tool 7 along its circumferential direction while delivering the cutting tool 7 in its axial direction and cutting a cylinder bore inner surface 5 in the screw shape. At this time, the ruptured surface 19 is formed by breaking a crest part 17 by applying stress on the crest part 17 on the screw shape part remaining on the cylinder bore inner surface 5 on the rear side in the delivering direction of the cutting tool 7 by the protruded part 7c provided on a cutting blade 7a.
