PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing-agent containing detergent which can provide safe and easy cleaning of objects and human bodies and from which the cleansing effect against persistent stains including cutting oil and greases with high viscosity is expected. SOLUTION: The polishing-agent containing detergent has one or two kinds of hydrophilic groups selected from an ethylene oxide residue and a propylene oxide residue and incorporates a surfactant having an 8-14C branched chain-shaped, saturated or unsaturated carbon chain as a hydrophobic group.
