PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply monitor a trouble and the degree of the deterioration of a breaking function in a distant location when a circuit breaker of an existing switchboard is replaced with a newest-model vacuum circuit breaker. SOLUTION: This monitoring device of a vacuum circuit breaker is provided with: a detection means for detecting an operation command signal generated in turning-on and turning-off operations of the vacuum circuit breaker; a signal detection means for detecting a switching time of an auxiliary switch contact; a control device for executing a calculation process of detection signal data thereof; and a display device; and characterized in that an operation time from the generation time of the operation command signal to the turning-on and the turning-off of the vacuum circuit breaker by the operation command detection signal and the switching time detection signal of the auxiliary switch contact to display the operation status of the vacuum circuit breaker on the display device based on the calculation process result.
