PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance security by preventing data leakage at a moment in time when processing for outputting data is carried out in an image output means thereby preventing leakage of image data being processed for image output. SOLUTION: A controller 60 stores image data transferred from an MEM-C in a DRAM 122. A selection is made whether image data in the DRAM 122 is erased before it is read out therefrom or not based on an input from an input means. When image data in the DRAM 122 is erased before it is read out therefrom, data in the DRAM 122 is entirely overwritten by white data [0] and the memory in the DRAM 122 is read out.
