The device has a housing containing three mutually parallel imbalance shafts (2-4) that can be made to rotate and forming a total imbalance weight with the central axes of the two outer imbalance weights in a plane and parallel to a standing surface (9) and the central axis of the middle weight at the same distance from the axes of the two outer weights. The imbalance weight of the central imbalance shaft differs from half the total imbalance weight by at least 10 and preferably at least 20 per cent.
