VIBRATION ISOLATION DEVICE AND METHOD OF INSTALLING THE SAME

A vibration isolation device in which a bush body formed of a rubber elastic body can be adhered to a bar member with contact pressure needed for the adhesion maintained and in which compression force can be additionally applied after the adhesion. A bush body (10) having an inner hole section (11) through which a bar member (B) penetrates and a bracket metal member (20) for holding the bush body (10) are split into two in the vertical direction. Both split rubber bodies (10a, 10b) of the bush body (10) are adhered by vulcanization to the inner surfaces of half members (20a, 20b) of the bracket metal member. The inner diameter (D1) for forming of both split rubber bodies is smaller than the outer diameter (D2) of the bar member, and inner hole peripheral surfaces (11a, 11b) are formed so as to be eccentric to each other in the direction in which they face each other. The bar member is fastened between both half members of the bracket metal member to fasten both half members of the bracket metal member with spacers (30) in between. The split rubber bodies are compressed to adhere the inner hole peripheral surfaces to the outer peripheral surface of the bar member, and then the spacers are removed and both half members are fastened so as to be in contact with each other. As a result, both split rubber bodies are further compressed in the facing direction.
