<p>An industrial evaporator adapted to cause a liquid containing a substance with boiling point lower than that of the liquid to flow down along the external surface of a guide so that during the flow, the substance with low boiling point is evaporated, which industrial evaporator is adapted to carry out stable evaporation on such an industrial scale that the amount of liquid having undergone evaporation treatment is = 1 ton per hour for a prolonged period of time, the industrial evaporator being free from problems attributed to degeneration resulting from long-term retention of portion of the liquid. There is provided an industrial evaporator comprising a guide having itself no heating source and comprising, disposed in a liquid feeding zone, a flow channel control part having the function of directing the flow of liquid supplied from a liquid allocation opening to a perforated plate mainly from the periphery of the perforated plat toward the center thereof, which industrial evaporator has a specified structure satisfying formulae (1) to (5), or formulae (1) to (10), or formulae (1) to (12). This industrial evaporator realizes the above adaptation and can easily provide high-quality high-purity concentrated liquids, condensed polymers and thermoplastic polymers.</p> |
