<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pipe or the like from being closed by moisture freeze in an off-gas with a simple structure, in a fuel cell system wherein the off-gas exhausted from the side of a hydrogen electrode of a fuel cell is recirculated to the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is provided with: the fuel cell 10 for generating electric energy by a chemical reaction of a fuel gas with an oxidizer gas; a fuel gas supply passage 30 for passing the fuel gas supplied to the fuel cell 10 from a hydrogen supply device 32; an off-gas circulation passage 31 for making the off-gas exhausted from the fuel cell 10 and including an unreacted fuel gas unused for the chemical reaction out of the fuel gas supplied to the fuel cell 10, and moisture merge into the fuel gas supply passage to recirculate it to the fuel cell 10; freeze prediction means 15, 40 and 60 for predicting moisture freeze in the off-gas; and an off-gas moisture quantity reduction means for reducing the quantity of moisture included in the off-gas and exhausted from the fuel cell 10 when the moisture freeze in the off-gas is predicted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
