<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system allowing a remnant life of a conductivity reduction means for cooling water to be correctly calculated. <P>SOLUTION: A computer 9 can be used, at the same time, as a usage calculation means for calculating the usage of an ion removal unit (conductivity reduction means) 3 based on the conductivity of cooling water detected by a conductivity meter 6, a temperature degradation amount calculation means for calculating the temperature degradation amount of the ion removal unit 3 based on the temperature of the cooling water and a water-flow time thereof; and a remnant life calculation means for calculating the remnant life of the ion removal unit 3 based on the usage and the temperature degradation amount.
