<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a paper sheet from being supplied from a wrong paper feed port by returning an error when a print instruction is received from a different paper feed part (cassette, an option or the like) in case where a paper sheet is in a manual paper feed part. <P>SOLUTION: This image recording device having a manual paper feed mechanism for manually feeding a paper sheet using a paper transport path and the other paper feed mechanisms includes: a manual paper feed port paper detecting means for detecting whether or not a paper sheet is inserted in a manual paper feed port, which is a paper insert part of the manual paper feed mechanism; a manual paper feed port instruction detecting means for detecting whether or not paper feeding from the manual paper feed port is instructed; and a comparing means for comparing the manual paper feed port instruction detecting state with the manual paper feed port instruction detecting state, wherein a paper feed unexecutable error is informed to a user when paper feed from a different paper feed port is instructed in the state where a paper sheet is put in the manual paper feed port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
