<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a user's writing pressure even if a coordinate indicator is operated in a tilted condition at a coordinate input device having the function of detecting writing pressure. <P>SOLUTION: An input pen 10 having a built-in coil 16 in a rod-shaped case 11 includes a core 101 a portion of which protrudes from the tip of the case 11; a ferrite core 121 movable integrally with the core 101 inside the case 11; and a ferrite core 131 fixedly disposed a given distance away from the ferrite core 121 inside the case 11 and having the coil 16 wound around it. The ferrite core 121 is formed with a protrusion 121a.
