<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make image density uniform by compensating variation in density due to variation in distance between a photoreceptor drum and the sleeve of a developing device. <P>SOLUTION: A laser printer uses a CRG which is provided with: a photoreceptor drum, a developing device sleeve, and a nonvolatile memory 131 which can store cartridge process information and can be connected to the laser printer. The laser printer is provided with a high voltage circuit part 303 storing the measured value for the distance between the photoreceptor drum 101 and the developing apparatus 107 to the nonvolatile memory 131 and varying the high voltage bias value applied to the photoreceptor drum 101 and a control circuit part 301 setting the high voltage bias value outputted from the high voltage circuit part 303 according to the measured value stored in the nonvolatile memory 131, and the set high voltage bias is applied to the photoreceptor drum 101 by the high voltage circuit part 303. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
