<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic composition which has a relative permittivity of ≥10,000, has a grain size of its sintered compact of ≤2 μm, is high in reliability, satisfies the characteristic value regulated in Y5V specification and can be fired at a low temperature of ≤1,250°C in a reduction atmosphere, and to provide a ceramic capacitor and their production methods. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic composition comprises a sintered compact which contains the oxides of Ba, Ca, Ti and Zr as main ingredients, and the oxides of Re (at least one rare earth element selected from the group consisting of Y, Dy, Ho, Yb and Ce), Mg, Mn and Si as accessory ingredients. The main ingredient is represented by a composition formula, (Ba<SB>1-x</SB>Ca<SB>x</SB>)<SB>m</SB>(Ti<SB>1-y</SB>Zr<SB>y</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>(wherein 1.00≤m≤1.02; 0.01≤x≤0.10; and 0.07≤y≤0.20). The composition contains, as accessory ingredients, the oxides of Re, Mg, Mn and Si in the amounts, by molar pts., of 0.3-1.0, 0.05-1.0, 0.1-0.5 and 1.0-2.0 in terms of each element, respectively based on 100 molar pts. of the main ingredient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
