<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communications apparatus for obtaining optimum antenna characteristics using a single antenna, in both the cases of voice communication and data communication, such as E-mails. <P>SOLUTION: The antenna 1 includes antenna power feed points 2a, 2b. A changeover switch 3a connects one of the antenna power feed points 2a, 2b to an antenna matching circuit 5. An attitude detecting sensor 4 detects own posture and allows the changeover switch 3a to connect one of the antenna power feed points 2a, 2b to the antenna-matching circuit 5, based on the detected detection result. In this case, a connection information storage part 8 stores connection information, which indicates relation between the connection of the power feeding points 2a, 2b to the antenna-matching circuit 5 and the posture to be detected by the attitude detecting sensor 4. The attitude detecting sensor 4 allows the changeover switch, to connect one of the antenna power feeding points 2a, 2b to the antenna matching circuit 5 with referring to the connection information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
