PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a climber to search for a correct climbing route, when the climber goes off normal climbing routes. SOLUTION: The apparatus for providing a three-dimensional image for use in mountain climbing comprises an input means for receiving the image information of photographed mountain topography, a relevant local numeric map and altitude information, an image photographed by a stereo camera and mountain climbing information; an initial image generation means for generating the three-dimensional image for use in mountain climbing, by using the relevant local numeric map and altitude information, on the basis of the image information received; a final image generation means for generating the final three-dimensional image for use in mountain climbing by combining the initial three-dimensional image for use in mountain climbing generated from the initial image generation means with the photographed image and mountain climbing information; and a transmission means for transmitting the three-dimensional image, for use in mountain climbing which is generated from the final image generation means, to a mobile terminal.
