PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container for a powder detergent which can be surely gripped without slipping fingers when it is gripped from lateral or above, can be manufactured at low cost as it substantially comprises only paper, and has no possibility of requiring trouble or damaging the environment when it is abandoned after use. SOLUTION: The paper container has a rectangular parallelepiped-like box with an open upper face, and a lid capable of covering the opening of the box, and at least a part of the lid is hinge-connected to the back face plate of the box, and locking parts for fixing the lid exist on the front face plate of the lid and the front face plate of the box. In this paper container for the powder detergent, non-slip processing parts are provided on a side predetermined part to be gripped with which fingers are brought into contact when the paper container is gripped from lateral on the front face plate and the back face plate of the box, and on an upper predetermined part to be gripped with which the fingers are brought into contact when the paper-made container is gripped from above.
