The cutting tool has a disk-shaped carrying body (1), and at its extent has several cutting teeth (2). In the direction of rotation and before each tooth (2) a space is provided, which is limited by a splinter edge (4). A second splinter edge (5) is additionally provided rear to the first and at a distance in direction of rotation. The distance between the front (4) and the tooth increases towards the splinter edges. The splinter edges (4, 5) run towards a straight-line of the front splinter edge (4), with a radial direction (7) and bent with an angle of inclination alpha, which is larger than an angle of inclination of opposite bend to the radial direction (7) beta of the straight-line of the rear splinter edge (5). The space has a depth, which results from dividing the cutting tool with a factor between approximately 1.4 to 1.8.
